Genertec Group Leader attended the BRICS Business Council Annual Plenary Meeting in Brazil

From July 4 to 5, 2025, Yu Xubo, a member of the BRICS Business Council (BBC) China Chapter and Chairman of China General Technology (Group) Holding Co., Ltd. (Genertec), attended the BBC’s Annual Plenary Meeting 2025 and related BRICS Business Forum events in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, upon invitation. Accompanying him were Gu Jin, Vice President of Genertec, and Kang Hubiao, Deputy Secretary General of China at the BBC and Chairman of Genertec International.

On July 4, the BBC Chair, along with chapter members, and representatives from industry working groups and the Secretariat, convened for the Council’s Annual Plenary Meeting. During the meeting, all chapters of the BRICS member countries jointly reviewed and adopted the BRICS Business Council Annual Report 2025. Kang Hubiao attended and delivered remarks at the Annual Meeting of the Trade and Investment Working Group. On the same day, the China Chapter held its second annual meeting of 2025.

On July 5, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim attended and addressed the BRICS Business Forum, which gathered senior business leaders from across BRICS member nations. Yu Xubo was invited to speak at the roundtable session titled “Strengthening Trade and Food Security in BRICS.” On the same day, Kang Hubiao participated in the B20 High-Level Dialogue.
