Genertec Group
Genertec Italia is directly controlled by Genertec Group through the China National Machinery Import & Export Corporation (CMC), which was one of the major foreign trade corporations affiliated to the former Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation. As New China’s first large-scale state-owned foreign trade company specialized in import and export of machinery and production lines as well as international engineering contracting business, CMC had always been the main channel of industrial products trade during various historical periods in China’s economic construction and development. Therefore it had made historic contributions to the nation’s economy and the establishment of the national industrial system. Currently, CMC is an important international engineering contractor in more than 160 countries and regions all over the world, with a global turnover of over 100billions USD. By virtue of the capability of business and resources integration, CMC can provide customers with an all-in-one solution including market development, commercial service, financing arrangements, key equipment manufacturing, project design and construction, technical service and consulting, etc.
In 1998, CMC became a founding member and wholly-owned enterprise of China General Technology (Group) Holding Ltd. (Genertec), which is an important backbone state-owned enterprise under the direct supervision of the central government.

The company was named "China National Machinery Import & Export Corporation".
1997
According to theCompany Lawof PRC and“the State Council's One Hundred Modern Enterprises Pilot Program”, CMC was reconstructed to a wholly state-owned company registered in the State Administration for Industry and Commerce as a limited liability company.
1998
CMC CMC became one of the core founding members of China General Technology (Group) Holding Co., Ltd. (Genertec).
2022
In 2022, Genertec integrated their internal resources and set up Genertec International Holding Co., ltd (Genertec International), which coordinates the international development of all subsidiaries of Genertec Group, such as Genertec Italia.
Genertec Italia s.r.l is the first commercial company of the Chinese Government founded in Italy with the aim of coordinating the marketing of technology from Italy to China as part of the great Chinese economic and industrial development project.
